He had a carrot nose
Along came a bunny

Field Trips enhance community

Preschooler Playhouse offers a variety of field trips during the school year.  These field trips offer unique learning experiences and are so much fun.  This is a great time for parents and children to get to know and connect with other parents and classmates.  These are some of the places we go-

Calgary Corn Maze

Spaceport located in YYC airport (all about astronauts and space)

Fish Hatchery (Bow Habitat Station)

Butterfield Acres Farm

Calgary Public Library

What did you do at school today?

This is a question that most parents ask and usually get the answer “nothing”.
Here are a few tips to get your child to open up about their day –
Ask open ended questions that need more than a yes or no. For example a good starter is “What was your favorite thing that happened today?
Make sure your using your best listening skills and focus on your child – don’t interrupt ( this is tough for most of us as we want to chime in) just listen.
Smile and be positive.
